Let's Do Great Things Together - Join Us!

The Arc of Grays Harbor is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to advocating for people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves a good quality of life, regardless of their abilities, and we work tirelessly to make this a reality.

As a member of our governing board of directors, you will help us to set policy, oversee our budget, and appoint our Executive Director. Your leadership, experience, and passion will be vital in helping us to expand our reach and achieve our mission of advocating for a better quality of life for people with disabilities.

One of the unique features of our organization is that our bylaws require our board of directors to include people with disabilities. This reflects our belief that nothing about us should be done without us, and ensures that the voices of people with disabilities are heard loud and clear in our decision-making processes.

We value diversity and inclusivity at The Arc of Grays Harbor, and we believe that our organization benefits from the wisdom and insights provided by people with a broad range of backgrounds. We are proud of the fact that our board of directors is representative of the communities we serve, and we welcome individuals who share our commitment to making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

We invite you to learn more about The Arc of Grays Harbor and how you can get involved in our mission as a member of our Board of Directors. We welcome your support as we work towards a more inclusive and equitable world for people with disabilities.

Board Information

Our Board of Directors meet on the third Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. We currently hold our meetings over Zoom, but under normal circumstances, we meet at The Arc of Grays Harbor office at 523 West First Street in Aberdeen, WA. Our board meetings are a chance for us to discuss important issues, set policy, and oversee our finances, but they are also a lot of fun!

Our board is a diverse and dynamic group of individuals, and there are many opportunities to get involved, volunteer, or participate in committees that match your interests and expertise. The Arc of Grays Harbor is a membership organization, and we welcome individuals and families to join us in our mission. Membership dues are currently $10 for an individual or $30 for a family. Board members must have a current membership. We take the safety and well-being of the people we serve very seriously, and all board members must pass a DSHS background check. This is because we work with vulnerable adults and want to ensure that everyone we serve is protected.

We welcome your interest in joining our board, and we encourage you to reach out to us to learn more about how you can get involved.
