Community Liaison

Unlocking Resources, Empowering Students and Families

Looking for Information and Resources?

The Arc has a dedicated team of Community Liaisons, comprised of local area agency professionals with expertise in developmental disabilities, who offer invaluable guidance to students and their families, especially those students who are in transition to adult services. Community Liaisons can attend IEP/504 plan meetings, when available, upon invitation by the student, a family member, The Arc, or a local school district. During the meeting they are able to provide information about local services available, appropriate to the student's age. They do not provide educational, parenting, or legal advice to the school or the parents. Community Liaison services can be provided either virtually or in person.
