We encourage all people to volunteer.  The life skills and knowledge you gain by being a volunteer are priceless.  We have many different opportunities, but the current openings are listed below. Next to the title is duration of time and a brief job description. Training will be provided for all positions. For those people who volunteer we require that…


1.     A Registration and Washington State Patrol Background be completed before participation.

2.    A personal interview with the Volunteer Coordinator to discover your interests and find a place in The Arc that works for you.

Immediate Openings:


Spanish Interpreter:  Duration: Year Round. Hours Vary.

Interpreter to attend certain events to assist Hispanic families whose English is a second language.  Transfer printed materials, notifications, flyers etc into Spanish for mailings.


Sign Language Interpreter:  Duration: Year Round. Hours Vary.

Responsible for helping people with hearing impairments understand what is being said in a variety of situations.


Event Workers:  Duration:  Year Round.  Hours Vary.

Workers will assist in different projects year round and Fundraiser events.


Office Help: Duration: Year Round  Hours Vary

odd jobs as needed such as cleaning tasks, filing, folding newsletters or brochures, etc..
