House Manager

Job Purpose:
Provides accommodations for residents by maintaining and securing facilities; managing residents.
Operation of an Adult Family Home (AFH) is a heavily regulated business. The number one job of the HM is to ensure that the AFH stays compliant in all aspects of operating the home, so knowing the laws and regulations is important.

Responsibilities:

Resident Care Management: Oversee the care and well-being of our residents, which involves tasks such as medication administration and developing and overseeing individual care plans for each resident.

Facility Maintenance: Develop and maintain a system that ensures the home is maintained in a clean, organized and safe condition at all times.

Staff Management: Create and manage staffing schedules and foster a supportive work environment through effective staff management.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up to date records in accordance with all regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure complete compliance with state and federal regulations that govern Adult Family Homes.

Atmosphere Maintenance: Collaborate with staff and residents to create and maintain a friendly, positive and safe atmosphere within the home.

Skills/Qualifications:
HCA cerfitication. Safety Management, Resolving Conflict, Customer Service, Dependability, On-Call, Organization, Planning, Surveillance Skills, Flexibility, Handles Pressure, Listening. AFH administrator training is a plus.
